Painter and Sculptor
First a student of Applied Arts, then of Fine Arts, he then left for Brussels to continue his training alongside the sculptor Volti, of whom he remained one of the faithful.
His technique is a mixture of exotic "sumi-e" from Japan (drawn in Chinese ink where a single line is used for an entire drawing) and traditional European oil, with a preference for the colours of the Mediterranean.
Painter of the Venus as Hervé Bazin called him, Alain Bonnefoit amazes us with his pencil stroke and offers us dream, sensuality and eroticism, without ever falling into vulgarity.
Alain Bonnefoit celebrates Woman, the Nude, Beauty and Voluptuousness with such talent that he has become the reference for forty years.
